About

Hi, I'm Kepler Oates.
Engineer. Author. Builder.

I build systems for a living and tools for everyday life. This site is where the two meet: honest books about doing the work, free tools that actually help, and plain-English news about AI and money.

The day job

I build things that have to work every day.

My work is in cloud and data engineering: designing and running systems on Google Cloud, building data pipelines, architecting cloud platforms, protecting data with Veeam backup and recovery, and putting AI and machine learning to work on real problems.

That work teaches one lesson over and over: results come from small, reliable steps done consistently, not from big promises. Systems that work are built, tested and maintained. People who change are too.

The books

Why I write about "doing the work."

Most manifesting advice stops at wishing. I wanted to write the honest version: keep the hope, keep the vision, and then do the unglamorous daily work that makes it real. That is the idea behind Become the Person First, the 33-day workbook, and More Than a Prompt, a straight-talking guide to building skills and ethical income with AI.

Every book pairs a clear idea with something you can do today.

How this site works

The standards I hold it to.

  • Your data stays yours. The tools run in your browser. What you type stays on your device and is never uploaded.
  • Sources, always. News posts link every source and say clearly what is confirmed, what a company claims, and what is only reported.
  • Honest about AI. News posts are drafted with AI help from public reporting, then reviewed and published by me. I say so on every post.
  • No hype, no guarantees. Nothing here promises results, and money posts are information, not financial advice.
  • Clear about money. Some links are affiliate links, always disclosed. Ads help keep the tools free.
  • Corrections welcome. If something is wrong, tell me and I will fix it.
